The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Resolution “On holding parliamentary hearings entitled “Taras Shevchenko as a figure of world significance (dedicated to the 200th birth anniversary)”

Under the document, the hearings shall be held on March 5, 2014 in session hall of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

The document includes also several recommendations to the executive bodies, the parliamentary Committee on Culture and Spirituality and structural subdivisions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat in regard to preparation and holding of the hearings.

The respective draft Resolution was registered under No. 3394.
